"Unstrutstr. 7/9 - Geschichten eines Wohnblocks"
For "Unstrutstr. 7/9 - Geschichten eines Wohnblocks" I collected stories from people living in one of the former socialist housing blocks in Halle/Neustadt. People from the first generation, living in the same flat since 1950ies share the space with younger and recent neighbors like students, and families with and without a background of migration.
I realized: working in a half private, half public grey zone where people might talk about their private space in order to contribute to a collective story was not easy. One neighbour from the "pioneer generation" would invite me for an interview and share details about dayly life in former socialist germany at the youg worker's city Halle-Neustadt.

“Reci me nešto o ovom gradu” was realized at a feminist social center MaTerra Mesto (Serbia), being invited as an artst in residence. During two weeks in the streets I collected people's stories about random places in their city. The rest of my time I used to layout the book, to organize a team of translators who would translate the handwritten texts from serbian to german/english. At MaTerra Mesto I printed and bound twelve copies of the book.

The idea behind mobile book making is to use a book as medium for communication. A foldable writing table with wheels, blank book and a pen are my editorial tools in the streets. I would definde questions and move around the place - inviting people to fill my book with their answers and drawings.
A library of different places would be growing gradually - full of individual and collective stories of people who by chance met me in the middle of their every-day-life.
